KeyShot is a conceptual design software that enables designers to import and enhance exisitng 3D models, creating variations for manufacturing, marketing or customer approval. KeyShots designers are able to import BIP files, Alias WIRE, PTC Creo, Rhinoceros, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Pro/ENGINEER, IGES, STEP, OBJ, 3ds, Collada, and FBX data. Users can paint, modify lighting, adjust the camera angle, edit and select background to create an image in real time using these imported models.
The new release – KeyShot 5.1, focuses on workflows around the rendering process. It has a new full multi-touch interface along with Retina Display support for all Apple displays, including Macbook Pro laptops and iMac 5k displays. KeyShot 5.1 provides access to the full line of Sørensen Leather materials through KeyShot Cloud, allowing colors and textures to be matched exactly with the hides. Six new KeyShot Procedural Textures, including Brushed (3D), Camouflage (3D), Lattice Circular (2D), Lattice Polygon (2D), Spots (3D) and Wood Adv. (3D) have been introduced.
Patterns have been updated with KeyShot 5.1 adding the ability to edit pattern, set scattering and automatically adjust camera to fit the patterned parts. Any part in a pattern can be used to bring up edit options for the pattern, with all materials and textures maintained after the pattern is edited. Scattering options are unique to the linear or circular pattern type selected, allowing either to be completely randomized in a matter of seconds. KeyShot 5.1 users can add saved cameras and Viewsets directly to the Render Queue.
